As a way to provide a stepping stone to emerging talent, Jaypore, through its platform ‘The Novel Project’, presents a breezy collection of women’s khadi apparel by ‘Cotton Rack Apparel’. Built on the belief that ‘the best way to be at peace and relax is by connecting to the roots’, this young brand reconnects us to organic khadi, the fabric that was intimately linked with India’s revolutionary freedom movement.
This collection of has been created out of superior quality organic handspun and hand woven khadi that has been sourced from KVIC (Khadi Village Industries Commission), so befitting on this special occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The classic silhouettes celebrate the natural texture of this fabric and showcase delicate detailing in hand block printed mul and chanderi.
A homegrown brand based in Jaipur, ‘Cotton Rack Apparel’ started out of a personal need for minimal, grounded and socially responsible garbs and to reintroduce this generation to khadi, an extremely under explored historic textile of India.
