    THE STORY
    Handpainted kalamkaris are made using organic colors coaxed from flowers, barks, roots, and minerals. Adept artisans use pens made of bamboo to draw free-hand motifs, mostly florals and deity figures on fabric treated with buffalo milk and alum.
