Made from pure handspun Pashmina, this exquisite large ladies (90x 45)striped shawl is embellished with 1820s Afghan period khatrast (striped) jamawar borders which have been handwoven stitch by stich with special wooden spools called Tojli in Kashmiri.
A connoisseurs delight. The borders have been expertly restored by traditional Najibabadi rafoogars and enhanced with Kashmiri kingri embroidery along the borders and sides.
This exquisite jamawar shawl is a vintage piece that has been restored by trained rafugars. Slight irregularities may occur and are a special feature of its vintage charm.
